A Green And Slimy Experience

On Sunday the 4th of October, Madison,Carter and Caroline O. went on a four hour drive up to Filcty and Don J.’s farm, Totral Valley. When they got there it was 10:06 at night, so the story’s had to wait til’l morning.

On the 5th of October Carter, Madison and Caroline O. were informed all about… the frogs! Madison and Carter were lucky that Jade and Dylin P. were there to inform them in on all the details.

Then over morning tea and after playing with Buddy, (The best lamb in the world.) they had done it. Madison, Jade, Dylan and Carter had came up with the master plan to catch Bob, Stewart, Keven, Cheater, Grue, Joe and Harry. The frogs.

After lunch Charlie, Harry and Susanna came to Filcty and Dons farm them so that they could help get the frogs and take them to the pond. The frogs were hard to catch because they kept jumping out of the net. Filcty told all the kids that frogs can stay under water for four hours. It took a long time but they did it they had caught Bob and Cheater.

They had to put them back into the pool, but they would get them tomorrow and put them in the pound.

On the 6th of October it was a lot essayer to catch the frogs because Madison, Jude, Dylin, Carter, Harry and Charlie had done this for a long time. Since they were so fast at caching the frogs everybody got to hold the frogs! The frogs were so slimy, and there feet were sticky and there feet  made Madison laugh because there feet tickled her hand! Bob one of the frogs even jumped on Madison's chin and bounced into the pool.

So on Friday the 10th of October Madison, Carter and Caroline drove back home.

They day my twin brother turned me invisible!

Once not so long ago, there were two little twins. One was a girl called Poppy and the other was a boy called Michael. They were the best of friends until they got to high school. From then on they always were trying to get revenge on each other. One day Michael had had enough, and that is the story I am going to tell you about today.

It was a lovely sunny Monday morning and Poppy and Michael were getting ready for school. Poppy and Michael were in the same class. They were always arguing in class and having food fights in the cafeteria. Their teacher had had enough! She made a list of rules and gave it to them. She said “You’d better follow my rules or there will be a huge problem.”

This is what Poppy And Michael’s rules looked like:

• Sit on the opposite end of the room to each other.
• No making faces at each other.
• Do not have a food fight in the cafeteria.
• No getting revenge at or on school grounds.

And that is just some of them. If I wrote them all down it would take you forever to read.

That day in Maths there was a big test. Poppy and Michael were having a contest to see how got the best score. At the end of the test, Mr. Gotschalk called out the name of the kid who got the best score in the test, and it was… Poppy Freeya. Michael was so angry, Poppy always always gets A+’s, and I never do.

You see, Michael never got A’s so he got so mad when Poppy did and he did not!!

That night after dinner and after everybody went to bed, Michael creeped down the stairs to the kitchen. By that time it was 12:01 and everyone was fast asleep. Michael had read a book with a magic mixture in it so he got out the book and flipped to the page. “It is time.” Michael said under his breath.

Poppy and Michael went to school the next day. Michael brought a plastic box to school and inside the box were the main parts of the mixture. There were still things he needed to find at school. By the end of the day Michael had finished his concoction and he was ready to act.

That night for dinner was Poppy's favourite everything, and Michael’s worst dinner, Michael thought it was the worst dinner in the world!  Michael got even angrier when Poppy said SHE made the dinner and Mum let her. Plus Mum knew that Michael wouldn’t like any food that Poppy ate.

When Poppy went up to her room, Michael ran to the kitchen and poured his concoction into a glass and walked upstairs carefully so he did NOT spill any. Michael knocked on Poppy's door. Poppy opened the door and looked around for anything that Michael could have set up. This is what Poppy did not see coming, “ Poppy, Mum said to give this to you.” Michael held up the glass of  ‘water.’ Poppy snatched the glass and did not even ask Mum if she did tell Michael to give her the glass of water.

Michael sprinted off to his room, he was SO happy! All he had to do now was to wait and see if Poppy drank it! Michael was hoping that Poppy would not get suspicious and not drink it.

The next morning Poppy went into the bathroom and Michael heard a scream. He ran to the bathroom and looked around.       “Where are you, Poppy?” Michael said in a teasing way. “You did this to me didn’t you!” Poppy said. She was furious with Michael. “Yes I did, and I am proud of myself for doing it.”

When Poppy got to school that morning she forgot that she was invisible, so when she said hi to her friends they all looked around, but then started talking again. But the worst for Poppy and the best for Michael was still to come.

Later that day Poppy, Michael and the rest of the class had to sit a Maths test. The Maths teacher liked Poppy the most but if anyone did not turn up to class on the day of a test they would get a straight forward F, and that is one thing that Poppy would hate!!!

The bell rang for Maths class. For the first time ever Michael could not wait to get to Maths class. Poppy took her seat at the front of the class but no one could see her.   Mr. Gotschalk said angrily, “Hmmm… Where is Poppy? If she is not here and I have not had an email about it. I guess I HAVE to give Poppy an F-”

“Yes,” Michael said just so he could hear himself. Michael saw the class door open and slam. Michael had done it!!

THAT EVENING...

Poppy looked in the mirror and for the first time in what felt like forever Poppy could see herself!! Then Poppy made a fist and punched the air, she looked at the mirror again and she had gone! Poppy released her fist and she was there again. Then it came to Poppy as a shock she could control when she turned invisible with just her fist.

Time for revenge. Poppy thought. Poppy turned invisible and ran to Michael’s room, she opened the door and walked inside. Michael stood up and shut the door. He had no clue that she was there. Poppy went to his SPECIAL book  that no one could read. Poppy put it in her pocket and walked around. Poppy started knocking things over. Michael opened the door to shout for Mum, and that was Poppy’s cue. She dashed out the door and into her room, hid the book and started doing homework. Michael and their Mum barged in. They looked around and there Poppy was just sitting on her bed!

So that is the story of Poppy and Michael. Poppy never got caught and Poppy still uses her invisibility and she says it is so fun and plus she gets away with it! Poppy still haunts Michael. To be fair he did make her fail that Maths tests.

Dear Diary, 

Today was probably the worst day of my life. I got teased at school, ( again!) andI have SO much HOMEWORK so I can't write much in my diary! That means I can't tell you about my whole day.

Dear Diary,

It's the weekend tomorrow I'm super excited. Because I am going to Mimmi's place for the rockiness sleepover ever. Mimmi even has a book called, The Best Sleepovers Ever. We planed the sleepover today at school. We even came up with a secret handshake! Also to do with lunch I get the I get the worst lunch in school!

4 of June

Dear Diary,

I arrived at Mimmi's house at 8:00. Just before the water fight. Mimmi and I got soaked! Then we had lunch. The lunch was amazing! After lunch Mimmi's mother and father insisted that we read by the pool well our food settles. In what felt like 4 seconds Mimmi's father insisted that they had been in the sun doing nothing for to long. Mimmi and I jumped in the pool, it let up a big splash that soaked Mr. Floop! We played in the pool, made ice-cream, drinks. And if anyone came out to us, unless they had food, we would spray them with a water gun and then dive into the pool! Soon it got rainy, so we had to go inside. We watched a movie and played until it was dinner time. After dinner we went up to bed. When we knew that they where watching a movie we got out our secret stash of candy! We started collecting it when I came over last time. Then we watched a movie on Mimmi's iPad, we had the candy and the movie at the same time and by the time the movie was finished it was 12:00. We had done it we had stade up the whole night! Plus we did not even get bored. We played in till one and then we dosed off.

5 Of June 

Dear Diary,

We had pancakes for breakfast this morning, they where amazing! At about 4:07 my mum came and picked me up. I really did NOT want to go but I had to go. When we got home Dad was asleep on the couch, with my little sisters trashing the house! Mum was furious with Dad! At one point I thought he was going to be a obliterated by mums powers!

What dose make you special? Well now I'm going to tell you why I am awesome. What makes me special is, I am a good listener, a loyal friend and good with animals.

First of all I'm an awesome listener. I listen to my brother all the time, he can talk a lot! Did you that listening is a great thing because people like it and fell respected when other people listen to them.  

The next quality I have to make me awesome is... I'm a loyal friend. I'm there for my friends when they need me. Also I do not lie to them, and I'm honest to my friends. All that makes me a loyal friend.

The next amazing quality I have is, I am great with animals. What makes me good with animals is that I love animals. Also I have a pet. To prove I am good with animals I am going to tell you a story.
One day we were at the batch and I saw a little brown bird. But it could not fly, so I picked it up and I feed it and nursed it back to health and soon Lucky was flying again.

So that is what makes me awesome.

the trip will be on the 3rd of November, leaving at 9:10 am. The children must come to school on time for roll call. We will be leaving by bus and will be back at 3:45. Children must bring one doller for the trips exspensives.The children can bring a maximum of $5 to spend. Please bring a raincoat and a packed lunch. Our Questions

The big black box

One day when I was cantering through the forest on my dapple grey pony, called Elder. I had been out for about two hours now. I was looking for something new and interesting.

Soon I came across a black box, it was just sitting there all still and motionless. It had purple sparkles on, and around it. I was so happy to find something new and what looked very mysterious. Part of me wanted to pick up the box and take it home, but the other part of me wanted to leave it alone, just in case some one had left it there and was going to came and pick it up, but really what I thought it might be is a trap. I made up my mind to check it out ,so I dismounted Elder and we both walked slowly towards the box.

I was looking around as we got closer but the forest was still and silent, apart from Elders hoofs clopping on the twigs that covered the forest floor. I slowly picked up the box, then I let Elder sniff the box so I could place it on his back and take it home with no problems. When we got home I gently placed the box by my bed so I could open it in the morning. I would have to be quiet though because my mum had no idea that I had a strange box in my room, and trust me she would throw it out of the house and I would be grounded for the rest of my life If she found out!

When I opened my eyes the next morning in my boring old plain bedroom was full of bright, colourful and strange animals. There were birds and butterflies that looked like they glowed, and so many more, but the most amazing creature of all was a beautiful but strange pony, the strange thing about this pony was that it had a blue mane and tail it looked stunning to me.

Two weeks later.... Elder and Lightning were playing out in the garden the other animals came and went as they pleased I liked it that way and so did the animals. But everyone had to be home for dinner. That night I was sleeping sound asleep when... I heard a loud noise out side. What could it be? I thought to myself I looked around the animals most had herd it to. I peered out side and there standing out side was Elder and Lightning. "You guys nearly gave as all a heart attack" am glad that's over!

But then out of the corner of my eye I saw a black figure moving by the forest. What is that? I thought to myself...  At breakfast the next morning I told my parents about the shadow, but they said it was just in my dream. But I was sure that it was real. That night I sat up in my bed I looked at the sleeping animals then I picked up my clock by my bed it read 12:02 I was just on time  I looked out the window and bingo he was right on time there running just a way off I quietly jumped out my window and ran to were Elder and Lightning were sleeping I jumped onto Elder and we road off Lightning cantered along side as.

In no time we had caught up with the man we circled do him as I did the talking Elder and Lightning circled him. Then I remembered I had my phone in my pocket so I could call the cops if I needed then he picked me up and run the horses run along side me I grabbed my phone and idled the cops I told them were I was and what was happening when I hung up the man still had no idea that the cops were coming.

1 minute later... The cops had found me thanks to Elder and Lightning my Mum and Dad were called to came and pick me up. I was so glade to be home with all my animals.

The end 

The floating Island

Hi I am Rose, I live on the Floating Island. You see the only people that live or come to visit the Floating Island are fairies. You might find this super exciting but we find it normal. The Floating Island got its name for two reasons, number one, it is a big cloud that floats in the sky. Number two, the great fairy that found the cloud looked around and saw a group of clouds around it and thought to himself, this cloud is like a king so I shall name it the floating island. So ever since that day fairytales come and go.

The names of the other clouds are Poto,Minitu and Gimstone. The island that my family live on is  Gimstone. Gimstone has 12,000 fairy family's living there at the moment, I learnt that at school today! I have a Mum a Dad and a cute little sister. My sisters name is Tulip, she drives me crazy sometimes! Up here we still have to go to school! My schools name is Peramare, and my teachers name is Miss Gliter ball, my friends name is Izzy. Izzy is the best student at this school! Plus she always helps our school win Gliterfly.

Gliterfly is an amazing game when you need to fly around the mane town in Gimstone, and grab two sacks with glitter in them and then race over the finish line, but the whole time they can not touch the ground and the sacks can move and float, this makes it hard.

Now that you know were I go to school about my family, I. Hope you can write about what happens down there.

Winter field days

On Tuesday the 18 of August, Meadowbank school participated
in the winter field's day. 11 other schools took part in the winter fields day.

The ball flew down the fort for the Meadowbank's netball team. The Meadowbank's netball team is playing their 6th game against Southern Cross, this is their last game, but before we came back to Meadowbank VS Southern cross! Let's go back in time and see the first game. Meadowbank VS Victoria avenue. Unfortunately Meadowbank lost this game but it was not the year 5 netball team but the year 6 team nested! Next up for the Meadowbank is the year 5 Victoria avenue netball team, and we won that game and the next 5 games! So that was the winter field days for the Meadowbank netball team.

Why we shouldn't do animal testing

Did you know that 115 million animals are used every year for cosmetic testing in the United States. Today I'm going to tell you why we should stop animal testing. If you listen, you will find out the process of animal testing, what is tested on animals and last but not least the conditions that the animals are in.

Firstly I'm going to tell you about one process of testing on animals, drug testing. Step 1, someone comes up with an idea of a drug. Step 2, they identify the group of people that they are going to help. Step 3, they use lots of computers to design the drug. Step 4, next they do in vitro research that is testing the ingredients on different animal cells. Step 5, then they will start testing the drug on mice and rats to see what the effect is on people. Step 6, next they do full animal testing. Step 7, this is the last and final step now they move on to human testing. So now you know process of drug testing.

Next I'm going to tell you what is tested on the animals. The most common tests are makeup, shampoo, drugs, toothpaste and hair colouring. Did you know that 315068 animals are tested every day? According to the Humane Society, 50 experiments can use up to 12,000 animals. Did you know that a famous sientest forced dogs to run on a tredmill untill the poor dogs floped and died of a harte atack!

Now that you know a bit more about animal testing I will tell you about the conditions that the animals are kept in. The animals are kept in small cages, but before I tell you the rest, I will tell you what animals are used, the most common animals are mice, fish, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, farm animals, birds, cats, dogs, mini pigs and monkeys! And those are only the common animals. The animals spend thier lives in cages,unable to make choices or express natural behaviors. Most never get fresh air or sunshine,only bars and concrete.

Now that you know how bad animal testing is I urge you to buy products that are not tested on animals so that animals don't have to go through this painful process. We must save all those innocent animals and make the world a safer place for them.

For the birds

 One day by a huge field of wheat, a flock of little blue birds, landed on a long rope just above the field. Most of them were the same size and they all looked the same.

 I was sitting on the post that was tied to the rope,I thought I could make some friends so I gave a small scwalck,oh I'm sorry I'm a big blue parot,and my name is Hocka I have a little sister I think she is so annoying,sometimes.My sister's name is Manocka she is a blue and purple parot. My Mums name is Sporch and my Dad's name is Kico.Anway back to the story.

Then all of the little blue birds looked at me,then they started emitting me but in a really mean why,so I felt kinda bad. Then I flow into the middle of the group,but then the rest of the drama happened.When I landed on the rope it went down in a upside down triangle,and then I slipped so only my claws were holding me up!

I wasn't scared because the ground was about 70cm away from my head,then two of the little blue birds started to peck at my claws to be fear it started tickling,but slowly one by one my claws let go...then my last claw slipped I just fall on my head but the best part was when all my claws had slipped off the re had slingshot up and because it had been so close to the ground when it slingshot all the little blue birds had lost there feathers so they were all featherless. They all looked so funny!

Friend ship

Out in the forest one day my big brother took me to a lovely river. Sorry I haven't told you who I even am. I'm a little gray filly my brother is a big black mustang and my mum is a gray with black main and tail. When we got there there was a lion and what looked like a little brother. Oh no. I thought I'm pretty shore my brother will get in a fight and I was right. Next minute the two of them were fighting over how was going to drink the water. Then I walked up to my brother and do you know what he did, he picked me up and threw me to the bank I looked up and the cub's brother did the same thing. Then the two of them stormed off. The cub and I both walked into the water at the same time but instead of fitting over how could have the water and how couldn't we both decided that both of us would stay by the bank. Well that was easy, I thought to myself.

Today I pulled her off payback. It was glorious, oh right you don't know what it was. Ok I will tell you. So when she sat down in her favourite seat kitty litter would fall on her and she did look ridiculous! After school me and my friends went to the movies it rocked. This morning at school me and Sofie were called up to the office I was shaking as I got out of my chair and when I walked out the door! When I entered the office I tolk a set next to Sofie the talk was about the problems on and with our blogs. After I went straight to lunch but I new Sofie would not quit.

Is Einstein the worlds smallest horse?

Einstein may only be six days old, but he is almost as famous as his namesake!  Einstein is only 25 cm tall he's tiny! Einstein is a miniature pinto colt. if you don't know what a colt is, a colt is a baby boy pony. He is said to be the worlds cutest pony in the world! This is Einstein, he's so cute right!

A Cloudy Lesson

One day a small boy and his Grandad walked up spiral stairs. Charlie was so excited to see were his Grandad was taking him, Charlie was interested to see were his were his grandad was tacking him.
When Charlie got to the long spiral stairs Charlie took the beautiful view. The clouds looked like marshmallows and looked as soft as silk. Then Charlie saw his grandad Harry put down a big brown case,Charlie had wondered what
was inside it.
Harry took a stick out of the box and pot it in a small holder.Then Harry blow in though the hoop and Charlie saw a tinny cloud came and floated into the sky.Then Charlie  had a turn but he lent foward and it snapped .
Then Charlie had a thought, Charlie made the stick in to different shapes,and Harry blew them.
They looked amazing.

The Catch

One day I was fishing in a small pond, when I heard growling on the other side of a bush. I was scared.

I slowly peered through the bush and there on the other side of the bush was a red fox, he was in a trap that someone must have set up to catch something to eat, I grabbed my knife the fox saw me coming and, looked terrified. But I had to help him so I cut the rope. Then he jumped out of the my reach and growled. He must have smelt the small fish I caught because he ran out and jumped into the bowl and took my fish.

I ran after the fox ran so fast it was hard to keep up with him. Soon I reached a big mountain, the fox jumped up it but I had to climb up.When I got to the top it was all foggy but it started clearing out, and I saw a huge lake. It was amazing I looked through the water and saw lots of fish swimming in the water. Then the biggest fish that I have seen jumped out of the water. As the sun started setting I walked home with a big fish over my shoulder then I through the small fish to the fox and left.

I think I have improved in my maths goal because I can quickly answer if some one asks me to find a quarter in a number. My Mum or Dad sometimes ask me.

Holiday

It was Friday night we were getting in the car, with my Mum, Carter, Gavin, Molly ( my dog ) and me. We got in the car and started off to where Mum wanted to pick something, Gavin needed to pick up something to so we ran there and back. On the way up me and Carter watched a movie ( Epic was the first one.) Then we all stoped for dinner at pizza barn. I had the Kids picnic plate, Carter had pizza.

Soon we got to my Granny and Granddad's farm.Then it was time for bed.

In the morning ( of the christening ) all of as, got changed (by all of as I mean me, Mum, Carter,Gavin, Granny, Granddad, Uncle Chris, Aunty Kerin, Dylan, Jade.)Then we had breakfast and hopped in our car. When we got there we got a phone call from Uncle Chris that he had gone to the wrong church. Then it started ding, dong, ding, dong, ding, dong. It went for a long long time, soon it was over before we went to the party we went to get some biscuits in a small place at the bottom of the driveway. Soon it was time to go.

'One day a long time ago the King and Queen had a little girl the could her Mia.

5 years later...

One day Mia was playing in the garden when her Mother and Farther walked up to Mia and said " Mia it is time you went to school " said Mia's farther, " but I don't won't to go to school daddy." 

Soon it was time for Mia walk to school on the way there a evil man gave Mia some magic lollies to make her to follow him, you see the man was atcholly her ankle but he wanted to be next on the thrown but Mia was next in line so he would not be King.His name is Roman he had gone mad when Mia was born because he new he would not be king. " who are you?" Shouted Mia, luckily Mia was not to far from the palace so they here'd her and came running out.

5 years later...

Now that Mia was older she had a crush on another boy but the problem was he was Roman's son,

( the mad man ) and was going to kidnap her. One day he told Mia to meet him at the big tree after school. Soon Mia arrived and he was waiting at the tree.

3 weeks later.

Once again he meet Mia at the tree but this time he kidnapped her and tools her to this clock tower so if she left everything froze in time. This made Mia fell lonely the good thing was she could not age so one year later she was still 15!!! 4 years later....

Mia was still spinning,she sometimes got really bored because there was no one to talk to.Back at the palace her sister.She was dating (Roman's son)Harrison. " I with I never had,

had a crush on him" said Mia.

Ten years later..........

Harrison was going to propose to his girlfriend Freya . Harrison had planed it all.He wanted to make it the best day of Freya's life. You see Harrison had told her to meet him at the big tree.

The Cheeky Pony Michigan

Michigan is a beautiful  black horse who is very smart.She uses her teeth and pulls the latch up or sideways then it is unlocked, then pushes the door open with  her muzzle or puts her head in the gap to push it sideways .

She first learnt how to grab the zipper on her owners jacket and pulling it up and down.Then she started eating the jingle balls off a head band, then she came to opening and closing paddocks doors  and, finilly the stable locks! She now knows how to open any door. Michigan's Mum is bossy so she does not let her out! She knows what lock it is or what way to push or pull it.

 

On Friday at the Retirement Home

When I arrived (with my Mum) it was nearly time to start packing the goodies into the boxes to take to the retirement home. Then we got put into our groups. My group was: Olivia( M),Tony and Jax. Then we got buddies,my one was Jax.Then we got our boxes or bottles( we only got to get one).

Then we stated walking. When we got there we had to wait for all the people. Soon it was time to go out side and talk and give them our rosmerry( it was fun). 

Some people got to go upstairs and give some of the rossmarry that we did not used.I got to go up stairs with a small group of people. Me and Beth gave our Rossmarry to one of the people up there. We talked to her, even though she called us boys! 

Then we went back down stairs to get Morning tea ready. We got treats that they organised, I got to go up to help to get the treets, it was, friut( water mallin, rock mallin and mallin) there was also sandwiches and lollies!!!!! Then it was time to hand out our treets to the retired people, they said that they had never eaten so much in thier life. We even got to have a tast of our backing once we had offered it around about 4 or 5 times. It was delshes!! Then they termed on the music and toled as to dance Roman started straight away it was halereos. We danced for along time and they clapped a long as Roman did the conga with and a lot of people joined in. Soon it was time to go, we got a treet,(geese what it was a pack of lollies and some people got cookies too)

When we got back, we got into our group's and got onto the bus, on the bus I sat with Olivia and I made a plan!!!!

When we got there we had lunch beside the playground then I begged my Mum to eat the lollie I gave her from the Rutiered home ( also known as Waimarie hospital) Mum said " way don't I trust you two girls" because Olivia ( M ) did it with me, then she tasted it,( I have tasted it befor it tastes SOO BAD!!!!!!!!!) " yuck it tasted like one of the coff medison's mecksed with tooth past!!!!" Then it was time to get cangged we were all in our togges so it did not take so long.( there was a inside pool and a outside pool to) then we were toled that we had 3 lessons. Since we were with room 31, they had free time first.

 We mecksed group's I was with Lexy. Our first lesson was warmer safety, we did dolfin-dives and treted wearer. Then we went to Life Jacket Safety ( the warter out side was FREZEEN) then it was Beach Safety, we made a mini rip ( it was awesome ) then we got to go down the small slide ( when I landed I landed on my helles) it really hert it falt like hitting soled concrete! Then it was our free time! 

Izzy,Beth and Me went bown the big slide ( it was so fun ) we did that 2 times,then we played a game when me and Beth were Izzys pets sit was fun. Then Roman swam past and said " girls are so slow bla bla bla,then he got over boys to annoy as, then it was GRILS VS Boys!!! It was really really really fun we had to swim after them and then they got re and forces and they still erged and erged as on by saying " girls are so dumb la la la."

Term 1 Reflection

1. What did you enjoy most in the term? Why?
My favourite thing was E.O.T.C week because it was the first time I have done it and it was really fun.

2. What did you enjoy doing most in the classroom? Why?
Probably the Rangitoto art because it was a challenge and I like art.

To stay on task because I sometimes don't get all my work down.

My art because it has improved and I love art.

I wish it was still E.O.T.C but it was a very tiring.

I enjoyed the pools because my Mum got to come.

Molly is special to me because she is my pet and I have had her for 2 years now. Molly loves swimming. My favourite game to play with her is when I throw one of her toys and she does not give it back and I chase her all over the place (this can go on for a long time).
